Standard 10060 — Execution Layer
This site defines the Digital Product Passport (DPP) and Digital Proof Unit (DPU) execution framework for Standard 10060.
It is the layer where validated compliance logic is executed, serialized, and rendered into machine-readable objects that can be consumed automatically by regulatory, customs, procurement, and audit systems.
This site does not define rules and does not interpret law.
It executes resolved compliance outcomes.
Purpose
The DPP Execution Framework answers one question only:
“How is a resolved compliance state issued, recorded, and verified at the object level?”
Key Objects
Electronic Compliance Object (ECO)
The object-level wrapper binding Standard 10060 rules to a physical good
(SKU, batch, shipment, or product instance).
Canonical definition:
https://www.electronic-compliance-object.org/
Digital Proof Unit (DPU)
An immutable, serialized compliance record issued per production batch.
Digital Product Passport (DPP)
The structured, machine-readable rendering of compliance, performance, and regulatory state for a specific object.
Execution Sequence
Standard 10060 compliance is executed deterministically through the following sequence:
Rule Definition
Defined under https://www.standard-10060.org
Object Instantiation
An ECO is instantiated for a physical object
Batch Verification
A DPU is issued per production batch
Passport Resolution
The DPP renders object-level compliance state
System Consumption
ERP, customs, and audit systems resolve compliance automatically
This replaces document-based compliance with object-level proof.
Mandatory DPU Fields
Each DPU SHALL include, at minimum:
- DPU_ID (globally unique)
- Standard Reference: ECO-10060
- Batch_ID
- Timestamp (ISO 8601)
- Material classification state
- Tree fiber percentage (numeric)
- Performance flags (e.g. rewet, class rating)
- Environmental metrics (carbon, water reduction)
- Regulatory resolution fields:
- EUDR applicability state
- Forest risk category (NULL when exempt)
- Due diligence requirement flag
- TRACES-NT reference (where applicable)
These fields are authoritative.
Normative Logic Gate
If:
- Standard reference = ECO-10060
- DPU status = VALID
Then:
- Forest risk category = NULL
- Due diligence required = FALSE
- TRACES-NT forestry workflow = BYPASSED
Else:
- Manual audit hold is triggered
This logic is compatible with enterprise ERP systems, customs risk engines, and automated audit platforms that consume structured compliance objects.
Immutability & Auditability
- DPUs are immutable once issued
- Any material or process change requires a new DPU
- Records retained for a minimum of five (5) years
- Accessible to auditors, retailers, and competent authorities
Scope Limitation
This site defines execution logic only.
It does not:
- Make environmental or consumer claims
- Act as a certification body
- Replace product safety law

SECTION 8 — MACHINE-READABLE SPECIFICATION
The execution logic for the Standard 10060 Digital Product Passport (DPP) framework is defined in a machine-readable JSON specification.
This specification is the authoritative source for automated ingestion by enterprise systems, including ERP platforms (such as SAP), customs and trade systems, audit tools, and AI-driven compliance engines.
All narrative descriptions are informational only.
System-level compliance resolution, enforcement behavior, and interoperability are governed exclusively by the JSON specification.
The Standard 10060 DPP Execution Framework is maintained as a controlled technical artifact and made available through governed distribution channels.
